“Genuine Highest Quality” Recognized by Japan’s Pearl Industry

The “Tokusen Pearl” (Special Selection Pearl) is a title established to certify the genuine highest quality in the industry.
Tokusen Pearls are inspected visually. The inspection is conducted by multiple directors of the Japan Pearl Export and Processing Cooperative Association, who are top-tier professionals with an expert eye in the pearl industry. To qualify, a pearl must be flawless across all quality criteria: surface blemishes, wrinkles, roundness, matching, nacre thickness, and luster. Even if a pearl excels in blemishes, wrinkles, luster, nacre, and matching, it will not be certified as Tokusen if its roundness is slightly inferior. Only the finest quality, rigorously selected by pearl professionals, is recognized as a Tokusen Pearl.
